QUICK HITS:

• Cornell's season-opening win over UAlbany was...
*The first for the Big Red since the 2016-17 season, when Cornell beat the University of New Hampshire, 61-56.
*The first season-opening road win for Cornell since 2012.
*The largest margin of victory for the Big Red in a season opener since defeating LeMoyne, 82-53, on Nov. 27, 1989.
Samantha Widmann went off in the Big Red's victory over UAlbany, posting a double-double (22 points, 11 rebounds) and adding five assists and a block.

She contributed in other areas as well, dishing out five assists, corralling two rebounds, and stuffing one shot.

McNicholas provided a spark of the bench in both contests, chipping in seven points and four rebounds in the Big Red's victory over UAlbany.
