ITHACA, N.Y. - The Cornell men's and women's polo programs each defeated UConn over the weekend to continue stellar seasons. Cornell's men's team bested the Huskies in a dominant 28-8 victory on Friday night, before the women's team won on Saturday in equally impressive fashion, 23-4.
Now right around the halfway point of the season, the women own a 7-3 record in advance of the Bill Field Invitational, while the men stand at 7-2 overall.
Cornell welcomes a number of top polo programs to Ithaca this week, with Skidmore College, UConn, Southern Methodist, Virginia and Kentucky coming to town for the Bill Field invitational starting on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at the Oxley Equestrian Center. The Cornell women will open the invitational with a 5 p.m. game against Skidmore as they look to avenge an early season loss to the Thoroughbreds.
