ITHACA, N.Y. - The Cornell men's polo team went 1-1 at the 2019 Bill Field Invitational, falling to Southern Methodist in the opening round, 24-15, and defeating Skidmore College by an 18-7 tally in the consolation final. Cornell now owns a pair of victories over Skidmore in 2019, defeating the Thoroughbreds, 13-4, on Oct. 20.
With a win on Saturday over Skidmore, the Big Red now owns an 8-3 overall record for the year with just five games remaining until the Northeast Regional Championships.
Following a break for Thanksgiving, Cornell will resume competition at home on Saturday, Dec. 7 for a 7 p.m. game against Harvard. It will be Cornell's final game of 2019 before picking things back up in 2020.
