ITHACA, New York - Due to protests on Harvard's campus over the weekend, the Cornell men's and women's polo teams faced off against the Central New York Polo Club on Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7. Cornell's women came away victorious on Friday night, defeating Central New York by a final score of 15-12. The Big Red men were bested on Saturday night, 21-11.
Women's polo now owns a solid 10-4 record on the season, having won seven of its last eight games. The Cornell men dropped to 8-4 on the season following the loss.
Cornell polo is now off for the semester and won't be back in action until the women's program faces UMass on Saturday, Jan. 25. The men's program resumes its season against Yale on Friday, Jan. 31.
