PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Big Red closed out its first session of the 2019 Ivy League Men's Swimming & Diving Championships with three additions to the school's all-time top 10 list with fast swims at Brown's Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center. Cornell enters its first full day of the meet in seventh place.
The 200 medley relay got things off with a seventh place effort, touching in 1:27.80 - good for the fourth-fastest time in school history.

Ryan Brown,
Jacob Mullin and Jack Mahoney helped Cornell register 46 team points.
The 800 free team of
Min Zhi Chua,
Koppi Kolyvek,
Jordan Blitz and
Ricardo Martinez took eighth, with its 6:39.74 time the seventh-fastest ever for the Big Red. Chua's lead-off leg of 1:39.56 is the 10th-fastest time in school history in the 200 free.
The Big Red will be back in the pool at 11 a.m. for day two prelims, with finals set for 6 p.m.
