NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The women's tennis team wrapped up its first Ivy League road trip with a 4-0 loss to Yale on Sunday afternoon at Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center.
Cornell (6-12, 0-3) was even in the No. 2 doubles match, 4-4, with freshmen Maria Adiaconitiei and
Sarah Campbell competing, but Yale (11-8, 3-0) wrapped up the opening point by winning the other two matches.
The Bulldogs then went on to win the first set of each singles match. Freshman
Khary Pryce won four games in the opening set of her match at No. 6, and Ho (No. 3) and Adiaconitei (No. 4) forced to 7-5 in their respective matches. Yale went on to win the other three singles matches to wrap up the day and end Cornell's four-match winning streak in the series between the programs.
Cornell returns home for a match against Penn at 2 p.m. Friday before its last road match of the year, coming at 1 p.m. Sunday at Princeton.
