BOSTON, Mass. – The Cornell men's track and field distance runners shine with seven conference qualifying times at Boston University's Valentine Invite.
Big Hits
- The distance runners led a group of athletes with nine personal records and eight IC4A standard qualifications, including six for the first time.
- Those running the 3000 had an especially great day. With seven runners, there were three conference qualifying times and five personal records. Perry Mackinnon led the pack with his second qualification and a personal record; fellow classmate Rishabh Prakash followed with the same accomplishments but with his first qualifying time.
- Tyler Fisher shaved over 20 seconds off his 5000 time for a personal record and his first qualification.
- Both runners in the 1000, Jonathan Plass and Mars Bishop, earned personal records while two runners in the mile, Steve Neumaier and Alex Mocarski, qualified for the IC4As for the first time.
- In the mid-distance races, Solomon Lawrence earned his second standard in the 800.
