ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell sailing team brought home a 10th-place finish at the Atlantic Coast Coed Tournament this past weekend at Navy. The weather-shortened event ran just eight races over two days.

B division's team of J.J. Smith and Lilly Bjerke was sixth in the field, finishing with three top five finishes and winning the weekend's fourth race after crossing the line third in the previous start. Seven of its eight finishes were in the top 10. Its 56 points were just four out of fourth. A division featuring Meredith Moran and Sophia Fogarty tied for 13th among 18 squads and had four top 10 placements with a high of seventh.

With two weekends remaining, the Big Red will continue its championship stretch when it competes at the MAISA Women's this weekend at Hobart and William Smith, as well as the War Memorial at Old Dominion.
