ITHACA, N.Y. -- Here are some notes from the Cornell football team's 15-12 win at Penn on Saturday.

TEAM NOTES

  • The victory was the Big Red's 648th, giving it two chances to reach 650 victories in program history this season.
  • Penn now leads the Trustees' Cup series 18-8 since it was initiated in 1995.
  • Cornell is 13-6 all-time on the date of November 6.
  • The Big Red's last three and five of its last six victories against Penn have come at Franklin Field dating back to 1999.
  • The 12 points scored by the Quakers was the fewest in the series since a 16-7 Big Red triumph in 2005.
  • The Big Red didn't allow an offensive touchdown for the first time since topping Columbia 3-0 in 2015, the first time on the road since knocking off Princeton 20-3 in 1999 and the first time vs. Penn since 1989 (a 20-6 Big Red win).
  • The Cornell offensive line hasn't allowed a sack in three games this season and ranks sixth nationally in fewest sacks allowed (0.88 per game). The last time it had three games without allowing a sack was in 2008.
  • In its two wins this season, Cornell's defense has broken up 19 passes.
  • The contest was the fourth this season where the defense limited its opponent to fewer than 100 rushing yards - the first time it has done that since doing so five times in 2008.
  • Cornell is 2-0 this season when out-rushing its opponent and 13-5 all-time under David Archer.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES

  • Freshman Jameson Wang has accounted for eight touchdowns (four rushing, four passing) in his last four games - just one shy of the single-season school record of nine by Jeff Mathews in 2010 (seven passing, two rushing) and Luke Hagy in 2014 (seven rushing, two receiving).
  • Jake Stebbins has three consecutive games with at least 12 tackles, the first time a Big Red player has accomplished that since Brett Buehler did so against Brown (15), Princeton (18) and Dartmouth (14) over a three-game span in 2013.
  • With two games remaining, Stebbins' 77 tackles are the most in a season since Nick Gesualdi (81) and Jackson Weber (78) surpassed that total in 2016.
  • Senior Max Lundeen broke up three passes against Penn, the first three of his career.
  • Senior Eric Diggs' interception was his second of the season and third of his career.
  • With his 128 passing yards, senior Richie Kenney became the sixth player in school history to surpass 3,500 career passing yards.
  • Thomas Glover caught his second two-point conversion pass of the season to become the first Big Red player with a pair of two-point conversions in the same year since Joe Splendorio had three in 2000.
  • Senior Scott Lees' first career punt came prior to Penn's final possession, a 43-yarder. He also made his only PAT to maintain his perfect record (18-of-18) and had three touchbacks in four kickoffs.
  • Senior Thomas Ferrara made his 28th consecutive start as the team's long snapper.
