ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell men's polo team continued to build upon its success this season against Babson on Saturday night, defeating the Beavers, 16-10, at the Oxley Equestrian Center in Ithaca, N.Y. to improve to 9-2 on the season.

The Big Red spread the love on Saturday night, as four different Cornell players scored a trio of goals in the contest to lift the Big Red to victory, including Nick Paciorek, Pablo Herrera, Santiago Valenzuela, and Patricio Fraga-Errecart. Alexander Dawson also got in on the scoring action for Cornell, notching a pair of goals in his third appearance of the season.

Cornell didn't waste any time establishing itself in the contest, as the Big Red held a 7-2 lead after the first chukker. Herrera was instrumental in building this lead, scoring all three of his goals for the game in the first. Fraga-Errecart and Dawson each added a goal in the opening period of play as well.

Leading by a score of 10-6 at the half, the Big Red created further separation in the third chukker, scoring four goals to Babson's one to extend its lead to 14-7. Three different Cornell student-athletes scored in the chukker, led by Paciorek's two goals. Dawson added another, and Valenzuela scored a goal of his own. The Beavers couldn't compete with a seven-goal lead, as the Big Red went on to win the contest, 16-10.
