Two-Time Olympian Tracy Eisser ’12 Added to Women’s Rowing Coaching Staff

ITHACA, N.Y. – Fresh off her second trip to the Olympics, Cornell women's rowing alumna Tracy Eisser '12 is returning to East Hill as a member of the Big Red coaching staff it was announced today by Steve Coppola, the Staley Head Coach of Women's Rowing.
 
"I am incredibly excited to be returning to Cornell and for this opportunity to work with the program that gave me my start in rowing," Eisser said. "I am looking forward to being a part of the growth and development of this group of women and am already impressed with their energy and enthusiasm for this team."
 
Eisser has been a part of the U.S. Rowing National team since 2014, competing twice at the Olympics and five times at the World Rowing Championships. A native of Fair Lawn, N.J., Eisser owns four medals from the World Rowing Championships, winning gold twice. Eisser earned gold in the women's eight at the 2018 championships and placed first in the women's quadruple sculls in 2015.
 
"We are excited to welcome Tracy back and have her start her coaching career in the same place that her rowing career started," Coppola said. "She will be a great model for our current student-athletes. We're happy Tracy decided to come back to Cornell and welcome her help developing the next generation of Big Red athletes."
 
As a student-athlete for the Big Red, Eisser was a member of the varsity eight boat that placed 11th overall at the 2012 NCAA Women's Rowing Championships. As a sophomore Eisser was a member of the varsity eight boat that helped Cornell earn its first national ranking in more than five years. Eisser was a three-time College Rowing Coaches Association scholar athlete.
