STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Cornell women's track and field team finished second among eight teams with 97.33 points at Saturday's Penn 10-Team Select at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Facility in Staten Island, N.Y., but that wasn't the only thing for Big Red fans to cheer about.

The Big Red tallied a pair of individual event wins and three Cornell all-time top-10 marks, with two of the three top-10 times coming in the 60-meter hurdles. Cornell placed three in the top-five in the event, led by senior Beatrice Juskeviciute's second-place finish in 8.53. Senior Brooke Overholt finished a split-second behind in third in a personal-best 8.54, a mark which sits third all-time in Big Red history. Junior Ama Boham ran a personal-best in the event for the second time in just as many meets, improving upon her 8.64 from the Greg Page Relays on Dec. 4, 2021 and crossing the finish line in 8.62 to place fifth with the sixth-fastest time all-time at Cornell.

Overholt and Juskeviciute also teamed up to finish second and third, respectively, in the 200-meter, with Overholt crossing the finish line in 24.90 and Juskeviciute following in 24.93.

Senior Kayleigh Furth secured a top-five finish in the 400-meter, clocking in at 57.46 to place fourth overall. Both Furth and Overholt were key pieces of a Big Red 4x400-meter relay team that finished second in 3:50.87, with sophomore Delaney Benedict and junior Nia Robinson joining them for the other two legs.

In the field, the Big Red shined in the pole vault and high jump, claiming the top-two spots in both events. Junior Victoria Atkinson and freshman Gabrielle Pack each cleared 3.80m (12-05.50) in the pole vault to finish first and second, respectively. For Atkinson, the victory marked her second win in just as many weeks. For Pack, the mark puts her on Cornell's all-time top-10 list, ranking seventh all-time in the Big Red record books.

Marguerite Lorenzo picked up her second win of the season in the high jump, clearing 1.79m (5-10.50) to finish first. Senior Monique Anderson placed second (1.69m/5-06.50), while freshman Margaux Rawson placed among the top-five in fourth with a height of 1.64m (5-04.50).

Freshman Noelle Elkinton continued a strong start to her rookie season on Saturday, placing second in the shot put with a throw of 13.49m (44-03.25). The Big Red also had a pair of student-athletes notch top-five showings in the horizontal jumps, as junior Jessica Kolesar (5.36m/17-07.00) placed fourth in the long jump and Dea Fackovic-Volcanjk (11.37m/37-03.75) finished fifth in the triple jump.

The Cornell women's track and field team will divide and conquer next weekend when it splits forces to compete at the Penn State National Open on Jan. 21-22 in University Park, Pa. and the Villanova Invitational on Jan. 22 in Staten Island, N.Y.
