BLACKSBURG, Va. – Competing in her first collegiate pentathlon since 2020, Cornell women's track and field senior multi Beatrice Juskeviciute continues to raise the bar, amassing 4,156 points in the pentathlon and breaking her own school record at Virginia Tech's Hokie Invitational on Friday in Blacksburg, Va.

Juskeviciute's 4,156 points was good for third overall, but even more impressive, ranks third in all of Division I so far this season. Duke's Erin Marsh (4,172 points) and Isabel Wakefield (4,159 points) were the only two people to finish ahead of Juskeviciute, and by a narrow margin, on Friday, and they are the only two who sit ahead of her in the national rankings.

Juskeviciute won two of the five events on the day, including the 800-meter run (2:20.77) and shot put (14.11m/46-03.50). Both her 800-meter and shot put marks were an indoor personal-best, with her heave in the shot put ranking ninth all-time indoors in Cornell history.

Juskeviciute also added top-three finishes in the 60-meter hurdles (8.51) and high jump (1.67m/5-05.75), placing third in both events.

Juskeviciute's 4,156 points surpasses her previous pentathlon school record of 4,073 that she set during the 2019-20 season.
