STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Cornell women's track and field team continued its upward climb at the Villanova Invitational, as multiple student-athletes turned in season- and personal-best performances on Saturday at the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.

Among those with break through performances were the pole vault and 400-meter squads, with every Cornell student-athlete that competed in both events posting a season-best. The Big Red placed three in the top-five of the pole vault, led by Victoria Atkinson, who won the event after clearing a personal-best 3.95m (12-11.50). Gabrielle Pack finished just behind in second after notching a personal-best for the second-straight week, this time clearing 3.85m (12-07.50). With their marks, Atkinson and Pack improve to third and sixth, respectively, on Cornell's indoor all-time top-10 list. Maria Siciliano added a season-best clearance of 3.70m (12-01.50) to place fifth.

Kayleigh Furth was the top finisher for Cornell in the 400-meter, clocking in at an indoor personal-best 56.33 to place fourth. Nia Robinson (57.79), Delaney Benedict (58.41), and Nyia Cummings (58.82) all turned in strong performances, running their way to personal-bests.

Furth, Benedict, and Robinson carried their successes into the 4x400-meter relay, as the trio teamed up with Brooke Overholt to produce a winning time of 3:46.22. Overholt added a pair of top-three finishes in her individual events as well, placing second in the 60-meter hurdles (8.59) and third in the 200-meter with a personal-best time of 24.70.

Lucy Hurt and Gwen Parks notched personal-best performances of their own in the 1,000-meter run, finishing one after another. Hurt was the second runner to cross the finish line in 2:53.72, while Parks placed third in 2:54.09. Izzy MacFarlane put together a second-place performance in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:40.01.

In the high jump, Marguerite Lorenzo remained unbeaten in the event this season, as she cleared 1.75m (5-08.75) to win the event for the third time in just as many meets. Dea Fackovic-Volcanjk and Lauren Jones both secured a top-three finish in their horizontal jumps events, with Fackovic-Volcanjk placing second in the triple jump (11.69m/38-04.25) and Jones finishing third in the long jump (5.36m/17-07.00).

Phoebe Price-Roberts threw her way to a personal-best in the weight throw, as her heave of 16.60m (54-05.50) was good for fourth overall. Other notable performances on the day include Jada Smith in the 60-meter and Ama Boham in the 60-meter hurdles. Smith clocked a 7.73 in the 60-meter to finish in a tie for second, while Boham placed third in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.78.
