ITHACA, N.Y. -- Here are some notes from Cornell's 35-28 loss to Harvard on Friday, Oct. 7 at Schoellkopf Field.
  • Cornell's game-opening 17-play, 89-yard drive over 10:01 was the longest in terms of plays since a 17-play series at Princeton on Oct. 27, 2018, and was its first drive of more than 10 minutes since a 19-play, 80-yard touchdown drive vs. Columbia on Nov. 16, 2013.
  • The Big Red's 28 points matches the most scored against Harvard in the past decade (28 in 2018).
  • Cornell has now lost five consecutive home games.
  • The Big Red has now led in time of possession in three of its first four games, with at least 33 minutes in each of those contests.
  • With his first catch of the game, Thomas Glover became the 25th player in school history to surpass 1,000 career receiving yards.
  • He ended the game with 75 catches (30th at Cornell) for 1,063 yards (25th at Cornell) for his career.
  • Glover's eight receptions were the most by a Big Red player since Alex Kuzy also had eight vs. Columbia on Nov. 20, 2021 and tied his career high (set three times previously).
  • Jameson Wang became the first Big Red player to rush for three touchdowns in a contest since Chris Walker at Columbia on Nov. 12, 2016 and the first to account for four scores in a game since Dalton Banks (four passing, one rushing) at Colgate on Oct. 1, 2016.
  • Wang now ranks first in the Ivy League in points accounted for per game (16.5) this season, a mark that stands 15th nationally in the FCS.
  • Wang has thrown just one interception in 82 passing attempts (with six touchdowns).
  • The sophomore quarterback has five rushing touchdowns over the last two contests, the first time a Cornell player has scored five times on the ground in a two-game span since Ryan Kuhn accomplished the same against Georgetown (three) and Brown (two) in consecutive games during the 2005 season.
  • With his season-best 13 tackles, Jake Stebbins upped his career total to 189 - good for 29th all-time at Cornell.
  • Stebbins had his second fumble recovery of the season in the contest, now ranking third in the FCS.
  • Jackson Kennedy continued his perfect start to the season, booting all four PAT attempts through the uprights against Harvard to make him 14-of-14 in four contests.
