ITHACA, N.Y. -- The men's cross country team placed all six of its runners in the top 18 of the 2022 John Reif Memorial Run on Friday afternoon at the Moakley Course. There was no team scoring in the race that featured runners from Cornell, Colgate, Cortland and Syracuse.
Jack Lenz was the top individual finisher in eighth place, placing third among collegians in a time of 15:27.2 on the 5,000-meter course, just .2 seconds ahead of teammate
Ryan Johnson. Both averaged under 5-minute miles.
Quinn Baker grabbed 11th in 15:45.7, while
Andy O'Brien (16th, 16:11.8),
Jacob Windle (17th, 16:25.6) and Zachary Winnicki (18th, 16:26.7) rounded out the Big Red runners.
Much of Cornell's lineup rested up for next weekend's Ivy League/Heptagonal Championships. The Big Red will run the Van Cortlandt Park Course in New York City on Friday, Oct. 28. The 8,000-meter race will kick off at 11 a.m.
