HANOVER, N.H. – The high-scoring outputs continued for the No. 9-ranked Cornell women's hockey team as it survived a hard-fought battle, posting a 6-5 victory over Dartmouth at Thompson Arena on Friday night.
Georgia Schiff (two goals, one assist) and
Kaitlin Jockims (one goal, two assists) accounted for three points apiece for Cornell (6-1-0, 4-1-0 ECAC).
Mckenna Van Gelder registered her fourth multi-point game of the season, recording a goal and an assist.
Currie Putrah (two goals, one assist) lead Dartmouth offensively. Laura Fuoco (one goal, one assist) and CC Bowlby (two assists) also had multi-point nights for the Big Green (1-5-0, 1-5-0 ECAC).
Cornell hit the ground running, scoring just under four minutes into play.
Lily Delianedis tipped in a pass from
Paige Kenyon to log her second goal of the season.
The Big Green answered with vengeance, scoring four unanswered goals to give Dartmouth a 4-1 advantage at the end of the opening period.
The Big Red responded to the pressure with its second consecutive five-goal second period of the season.
Georgia Schiff scored both of her goals in the period, while Jockims,
Alyssa Regalado, and Van Gelder also netted goals for the Big Red during the second period.
Fuoco notched the lone goal 14 minutes into the final period for Dartmouth, but proved to be not enough.
