The No. 9-ranked Cornell women's hockey team lost its second game of the year, falling to Harvard, 2-0, by way of a stout defensive effort by the Crimson.
Cornell registering 30 shots on goal over the course of the game, but could not find the back of the net as Crimson goaltender Alex Pellicci was stingy between the pipes to record the shutout.
The Big Red were awarded four power plays throughout the contest, including a 5-on-3 advantage late in the third period, but could not get in the scoring column.
Sophomore goaltender
Belle Mende made her first collegiate start for the Big Red, notching a .920 save percentage against 23 shots.
Kristin Della Rovere and Jade Arnone netted goals for Harvard.

Cornell will look to bounce back when they return to ice on Thanksgiving weekend in Nashville, Tenn. at the Smashville Women's Collegiate Showcase. The Big Red will open its two-game slate in Tennessee against Northeastern on Nov. 26.
