VESTAL N,Y. -- Cornell wrestlers won four individual titles and had five finalists as members of the lineup competed at the season-opening Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat Open on Sunday afternoon at Binghamton's Events Center. Ethan Fernandez (133), Vince Cornella (141), Chris Foca (174) and Jonathan Loew (184) all took home titles, while Julian Ramirez finished as the runner-up at 165. Cornella went 5-0 on the day, opening with a 9-7 decision over Penn State's David Evans and ending the day with a statement 15-3 major decision victory over 25th-ranked Josh Koderhandt of Navy in the finals.

Both Foca and Loew cruised through their draws to the finals, with Foca pulling out a 6-4 win over former teammate Andrew Berreyesa in the quarerfinal and Loew grabbing a pair of decisions over Donovon Ball of Penn State (3-0) and No. 31 David Key of Navy in the finals (7-4).
