ITHACA, N.Y. -- A total of 14 Cornell wrestlers will head to Sunday's Mat Town Open I wrestling meet on Sunday, Nov. 27 beginning at 9:30 a.m. The tournament will feature 11 collegiate programs in addition to non-collegiate entries and will be held in Thomas Fieldhouse. Tickets will be available at the door and are $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors.

Along with Cornell, competing on Sundya will be grapplers from Appalachian State, Binghamton, Blomsburg, Bucknell, Buffalo, Clarion, Lock Haven, Navy, Pittsburgh and Virginia.

Among the Big Red entries are expected to be 2022 NCAA qualifier Dom LaJoie at his new weight at 125, Bearcat Open champion Ethan Fernandez at 133, 2022 EIWA starter JJ Wilson at 141, and nationally-ranked Colton Yapoujian at 157 in his season debut.

Additionally, Benny Baker (165), Owen Finn (149), Luke Gorg (174), Myles Griffin (141), Cole Handlovic (157), Christian Hansen (174), Joe Sciarrone (125), Carter Tate (141), Nathan Thacker (184) and Nate Wade (149) are registered to compete.

The rest of the lineup will ready for its final pre-finals competition when the big Red heads to Las Vegas for the Cliff Keen Invitatonal beginning on Friday, Dec. 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
