CAMBRIDGE, MASS. -- The Cornell volleyball team took down Harvard in four on Saturday, November 5. The Big Red attack was led by senior outside hitter, Joanna Chang, who tallied 16 kills in the contest. Sophomore libero Jackie Baker also recorded six aces in a contribution to Cornell's 11 total.

Cornell opened set one on a perfect 6-0 run before Harvard even notched a point. The Big Red stretched its lead to 9-3 before Harvard managed a 4-0 to get back in the set. The Crimson clawed their way back to tie the set at 12, but did not lead until 23-22 when the Big Red dropped the lead late. Cornell finished the set strong on a 3-0 run to grab a 1-0 lead.

The Big Red opened set two in an almost equally impressive fashion, tallying a 5-0 run after Harvard tallied the first point of the set. Cornell never gave up its lead for the remainder of the set, going on to win 25-17.

Harvard found some momentum in the third set, winning 25-19 and forcing a fourth set. Harvard went up 8-5, but Cornell went on a 9-0 run as part of a 20-6 run to seal am impressive 25-14 win.

Following this weekend, the Big Red will close out the season at home with a celebration of 50 Years of Cornell Volleyball against Penn and senior night against Princeton. Both matches will be played at Newman Arena at Bartels Hall. For fans at home, the matches will be available to stream via ESPN+.
