NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The Cornell women's track and field team enters day two of the Heptagonal Championships atop the field with 33 points. Three Ivy titles were crowned, with a pair of meet records and plenty of Sunday qualifiers highlighting the first events in the Armory.

The Big Red took home an Ivy title in the long jump with a huge 6.35m leap by Leone Farquharson that matched her career best mark. Cornell also won the pole vault with Victoria Atkinson clearing the bar at 4.16m (13-7 3/4), a school record by 2.5 inches and the best-ever mark in the long history of the Heps. Beatrice Juskeviciute clubbed the field in the pentathlon, as her 4,116 points set a meet record and was just 40 points off her own school record.

Cornell also set itself up for a strong finish in Saturday's prelims. Cornell will have three runners in the 60 hurdles, one in the 60 dash, two (including the top qualifier in Brooke Overholt) in the 400 meters and one in the 500 meters.

Sunday's very full day begins at 10:50 a.m. with the start of the men's Heptathlon and concludes at 3:45 with the awards ceremony.
