PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The Cornell men's track and field team got some work in to open the outdoor season when it competed in Saturday's Penn Challenge at Franklin Field. The Big Red had three runner-up finishes in a meet that included competitors from eight schools, including Penn State, Villanova and Ivy rivals Penn and Princeton.

Otreyvien Taylor took second in the high jump with a leap of 2.02m (6-7 1/2), two inches shy of LaSalle's Dennis Manyeah's mark.

Shane Racey got off to a great start in the pole vault with a runner-up effort at 4.90 (16-0 3/4).

Jamaur Williamson went 13.50m (44-3 1/2) for second in the triple jump.
The Big Red will get into the meat of their schedule beginning with its Spring Break training trip that will take them to Florida to compete at the South Florida Invitational on April 8-9.
