ITHACA, N.Y. -- After a successful showing at the 2022 IHSA Zone 2 Championships two weeks ago, the Cornell equestrian team is ready to compete at the Ivy League show on Sunday, April 24 at the Oxley Equestrian Center.
Cornell placed fourth as a team in the championships, while five riders competed individually. Sophomore
Emily Pecsok placed first in novice flat, while
Alexandra Miranda and
Lauren Reeves achieved second and the title of Reserve Champion in intermediate fences and intro, respectively. Junior
Ashley Ardila was the Reserve Champion in Individual Introductory, which booked her a spot at IHSA Nationals the first weekend in May.
At the last Ivy Show in 2019, Cornell placed first thanks to multiple ribbon finishes in various events. None of the current team members competed at the Ivy Show in 2019.
