FAIRLEE, Vt. -- For the eighth consecutive meeting, the Cornell men's lightweight rowing team will return the Baggaley Cup to the Big Red boathouse. Cornell swept the three contested races on Lake Morey, winning the Cup with a narrow win in the varsity eight race.
The Big Red finished its 2,000 meters in 5:53.0, just 4.3 seconds ahead of the Big Green. It stretched its margin to 8.9 seconds in the second eight and to 23 seconds in the third varsity boat for a perfect 3-0 day.
Cornell will try and bring home more hardware when it travels to Columbia to compete for the Geiger Cup in Leonia, N.J. on Sunday, May 1 at 10 a.m.
