Caroline Ramsey and the USA U-21 Field Hockey Team advanced to the quarterfinals of the FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup at North-West University in Potchefstroom, South Africa. The USWNT topped Canada 4-0 to improve to 2-1 in pool play out of Group 1 after topping Zimbabwe (5-0) and falling to top-ranked The Netherlands (9-0). Ramsey scored her first international goal against Canada, giving the U.S. a 2-0 lead late in the third quarter.
The U.S. will face England in a quarterfinal on Friday, April 8 at 9:45 a.m. ET, then will play Sunday, April 10 for fifth through eighth with a loss or will launch into the tournament semifinals with a win.
