WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Cornell women's rowing team reached the grand finals in four events and the varsity eight won the third-level final on Sunday afternoon on Lake Quinsigamond at the Women's Sprints.
The varsity eight won the third level final to take 13th, overall, crossing the line in 7:15.68, less than a second ahead of Boston College.
The Big Red claimed third in both the second and third varsity eight grand finals, with the second boat finishing in 7:02.50 and the third crossing the line in 7:03.94. The second eight won its heat in 6:43.09.
The varsity four took fourth in the grand final in 7:48.47 in a race won by Brown after winning its first heat in 7:27.55. The second varsity eight was fifth in 7:36.26.
