CHERRY HILL, N.J. -- The Cornell women's rowing team took eighth in the varsity eight and the second varsity eight boat made the grand finals  at the 2022 Ivy League Championship on Sunday afternoon on the Cooper River. 

Cornell made the grand final in the second varsity eight, finishing sixth in 6:43.46. The Big Red finished ahead of Columbia and Dartmouth after taking third in its initial heat in 6:44.80. The varsity eight's best time of 6:47.05 came in the petite final and was nine seconds faster than its heat time. 

The Big Red was eighth in the varsity four (7:34.78) and seventh in the second varsity four (7:47.99) races.
