#10 Big Red Earn 4-1 Victory On The Road Against Syracuse

ITHACA, N.Y. - The #10 Cornell women's ice hockey team earned a 4-1 victory against the Syracuse Orange on Tuesday night at Tennity Ice Pavilion.

The Big Red did not waste any time getting on the board, netting a goal from Kaitlin Jockims three minutes into the contest.

The second period began and just 33 seconds later standout forward Izzy Daniel registered a Big Red goal to put Cornell up 2-0.

Less than three minutes later Alyssa Regalado added to the lead, giving Cornell a 3-0 advantage heading into the final period.

Mckenna Van Gelder took advantage of the power play, netting the fourth consecutive Big Red goal, assisted from Izzy Daniel and Grace Dwyer.

Sarah Thompson got Syracuse on the board late in the final period but was not enough to spark a comeback run as Cornell ran way with the 4-1 victory.

Belle Mende had a productive outing in goal for the Big Red, registering 20 total saves in the contest.
