Women's Track and Field Compete at Dr. Sanders Invitational

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Women's track and field competed in the Dr. Sanders Invitational at Columbia University this weekend. The Big Red continued their solid efforts on the track with numerous athletes posting PR times to go along with finals appearances from Ama Boham (60m) and Jada Smith (60m hurdles).

Victoria Atkinson came in first place for the pole vault event (4.05m). Skyy Johnson registered a PR in the long-jump (5.76m). The Big Red fielded a group of 400m runners that were victorious in four of the five sections that they competed in.
 
Margaux Rawson (third) and Olivia Rodriguez (fourth) had formidable performances in the high-jump. Noelle Elkinton had a PR and broke 16 meters (52 ft) in the weight throw. Katja Jackson (9:57.30), Mairead Clas (9.58.52), and Kaitlyn Roffman (10:08.59) set new personal best in the 3000m. Izzy Mcfarlane, Sarah Roffman, Marge Dalseth, Augustine Haquet, and Clara Harman all notched sub five minutes in the mile.
 
Next Action
Cornell women's track and field will be back in action this weekend at Barton Hall for the Kane Invitational.
