ITHACA, N.Y. - Freshman forward
Alex Harris has gotten off to a fast start to his Cornell career. Harris has registered three multi-goal games this season to date, which includes a two goal game in the 2-1 victory against the defending national champion Syracuse Orange. With his second goal in the Tuesday night's contest against Colgate, Harris eclipsed Richard Simpson (1997) for the most goals (previously eight) and points (previously 18) scored by a Cornell freshman of all-time.
The star freshman stands at the top of the Ivy League in both the goals (nine) and points (20) category. Nationally,
Alex Harris is ranked sixth and ninth in those categories, respectively, along with a fifth-place standing in goals per game (.900). The Vancouver native has exploded onto the scene in East Hill, and looks to keep the momentum going as the Big Red continue it's season.
