ITHACA, N.Y. — Looking for its first win of the season, the Cornell Big Red sprint football team hits the road this week for a matchup against Mansfield on Saturday, Oct. 21, at noon at Karl Van Norman Field. Hudl will stream the game live.

Cornell Notes

Sophomore defensive back Ian Applegate led Cornell's defense against Army, recording a career-high 11 tackles, including one for a loss. He's second on the team with 23 stops.

Senior linebacker Billy Turner leads Cornell in total tackles (24) and is second in tackles for a loss (3). He's had at least six tackles in each game this season.

Five Big Red defenders have recorded a sack this season. Sophomore linebacker Michael Mosier leads the unit with 1.5 sacks.

Cornerback Jaden Queen was named CSFL Co-Defensive Player of the Week after a two-interception performance against Penn in September.

Senior running back Ralph Fleuranvil has 214 yards from scrimmage this season. He has 162 yards rushing and 52 yards receiving with one touchdown.
Mansfield Notes

Mansfield has won its last two games against Chestnut Hill and Caldwell after starting the season with losses to Army and Navy.

Quarterback Cashid Raymond leads the team in rushing yards (212) and touchdowns (3). He's passed for two touchdowns.

Wide receivers LaTrenton Randle and Eli Swan each have more than 130 yards receiving with a touchdown. Randle leads the team in catches (12) and yards (168).

Linebacker Ian Mapp, one of the most productive defensive players in the CSFL this season, has 19 tackles, eight tackles for a loss and two sacks. Defensive lineman Marvens Ravix leads Mansfield with 2.5 sacks.

Linebackers Gavin Hinman and Matt Robert have 39 and 37 tackles, respectively.

Defensive back Chase Thompson has two interceptions, the most on the team.
