ITHACA, N.Y. — The Cornell sprint football team has one last chance to add a tally to its 2023 win column.
The Big Red (0-5), hoping to send a large senior class off on a positive note, concludes its season against St. Thomas Aquinas (3-3) on Friday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. at Schoellkopf Field. Cornell is trying to avoid its first winless season since 1949.

The Big Red has amassed more than 100 yards rushing in its last two games, gaining a season-high 154 yards against a stout Navy defense.

Fleuranvil rushed for a career-high 104 yards on 20 attempts against the Midshipmen. Wise also had a career day on the ground, with 81 yards on five attempts.

Junior kicker Sumner Roberts made two field goals against Navy, including a 43-yarder, his longest of the season.

The Spartans snapped a two-game skid with a 34-0 win over Mansfield last week. They gained 439 yards total, including 293 through the air.

Junior quarterback Ryan Kenny has completed 60% of his passes for 1,314 yards with 15 touchdowns to five interceptions. He has thrown three or more touchdown passes three times this season.

Freshman wide receiver Nyir Jones has caught 25 passes for 369 yards and four touchdowns. Senior wideout Jayden Bennermon leads the Spartans with five receiving scores.

Sophomore defensive end Donnell White Jr. leads the Spartans in tackles (49), tackles for a loss (7.5) and sacks (3.5).
