Junior Christian Finlay led the Big Red with five goals, and senior Eduardo Palacios set a career-best with four. Sophomore Harrison Fredericks had one.
The Big Red held a 10-9 lead entering the fourth chukker after trailing 7-6 at halftime but couldn't keep its run going in the final frame. Yale outscored Cornell 3-1 in the fourth chukker en route to the victory.
The Big Red, which beat Yale earlier in the season, fell to 4-2.
