ITHACA, N.Y. - Women's track and field played host at Barton Hall for competition at the Kane Invitational. The Big Red placed first in six of the events that it competed in on the day.

Gwen Parks produced a dominant first-place effort in the 800m with a time of 2:12.97, which was eight seconds ahead of the second-place runner. Lauren Jones earned two first-place finishes on the day with her time of 25.62 in the 200m and mark of 5.46 in the long jump. Phoebe Price-Roberts registered a weight throw of 17.58 which put her atop the rankings.

Noelle Elkinton had a first-place finish in the shot put (13.97), to go along with a second-place tally in the weight throw (16.47). Sierra Burror (5:25.90) placed sixth in the mile, followed by Nina Suss (5:26.06) giving the Big Red two top-10 finishes out of 35 racers.

The Big Red will be back in competition on Feb. 11 for the Valentine Meet hosted by Boston University.
