Women's Track and Field Gets Off To Strong Start at ECAC Championships

BOSTON, MA - Women's track and field has taken the road to Boston this weekend for the ECAC championships. The Big Red has gotten off to a strong start, registering a handful of personal bests and finals advances.

Mairead Clas (4.53.83) and Katja Jackson (4.53.87) both overtook the previous freshman record in the mile, advancing themselves to the finals. Reyne Rodrigues registered her highest mark yet (55.98 seconds) in the 400-meter dash to clinch a finals berth. Clara Harman registered a sixth-place finish in the 1000-meter run, punching herself a ticket to the day two winner-takes-all.

Next Action
The Big Red will look to continue it's success tomorrow during it's finals appearances in the ECAC Championships. Clas, Jackson, Rodrigues, and Harman will represent Cornell in their respective event finals on Sunday.
