CANCELED: Men's Polo Squares Off Against Work-to-Ride For Second Time This Season

3/7/2023 1:00:00 PM

SCHEDULE UPDATE: Men's Polo vs. Work to Ride (3/10) and Ruda (3/18) have been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.

ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell's Men's Polo team faces off against the Work-to-Ride program on Saturday, March 10th for the second time this season. The matchup starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Oxley Equestrian Center.

The last time these two teams faced off against each other was in December 2022 and resulted in a definitive 15-7 win for the Big Red.  In that game, Cornell outscored Work-to-Ride in every chukker except the final one, resulting in the first win against the program since 2011.

All eyes will be on Benito Jaramillo who has lead Cornell in scoring for the last two games. He was credited with eight points against Texas A&M last week and two weeks ago he posted five points against the University of Virginia. Pablo Herrera is also in the spotlight after scoring five points in back-to-back games.

The Big Red is looking to extend their winning streak this weekend after defeating Texas A&M last week, pushing their current streak to four straight games.
