PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Men's track and field traveled to the University of Pennsylvania for the Ivy-League Heptagonal Championships. The Big Red men own a third-place ranking after earning 21 points during the opening day. Harvard and Princeton sits ahead the Big Red in the team standings.
Tomas Kersulis took Franklin Field by storm, leading the pack in the 400-meter dash, squeaking past Columbia's Haydn Brotschi with a time of 47.40 seconds.
Smith Charles earned a spot on the long-jump podium, registering a fifth-place 7.49-meter mark.
Christian Martin sprinted his way to a 14.14 second third-place time in the 110-meter hurdles.
Rhys Hammond finished among the top in the 1500-meter run, pacing his way to a fourth-place time of 3:47.96.
Colden Longley wasn't too far behind him, finishing eighth (3:49.48).
Brad Morell tallied a fourth place completion in the hammer throw, with 60.15 meters being his best of the opening day.
Domenic Barresi's 10.57-second finish in the 100-meter dash was good for sixth-place.
Perry Mackinnon bookended the day with a strong effort in the 10,000-meter run, finishing with a second-place time of 29:49.65.
