LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Two Big Red alums took the field this past weekend in the PLL All-Star Game held in Louisville, Ky, an annual battle between the Veterans and Rising Stars teams.
Gavin Adler, in his first season at the pro level, got the call the not only join the Rising Stars but to start. Rob Pannell joined the Veterans in his ninth appearance at All-Star weekend through 11 seasons. Pannell was invited to be the captain of the veteran team. The Veterans emerged victorious in a shootout, 26-19.
Pannell tallied six points in the game across four goals and two assists, while shooting 44.4 percent. On the defensive side, he scooped three groundballs and caused a turnover. Adler scooped three groundballs in the outing.
They both return this weekend to the regularly scheduled slate, when Adler and the Atlas take on the Chrome on Saturday, July 29, at 6 p.m., and Pannel and the Redwoods face the Cannons on Saturday, July 29, at 8:30 p.m. Both games will be available to stream on ESPN+.
