Men's Track and Field Finds Success At Clemson and Southern Tier Invite

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Cornell men's track and field team saw success this weekend as it split for competition at the Clemson Invite and the Southern Tier Invite at Barton Hall. The men collected victories in nine events at the Southern Tier Invite to go along with a speedy second place result at the Clemson Invite. Cornell earned personal bests in over 15 events on the day.

Among Big Red athletes who claimed events at the Southern Tier Invite was Semi Robertson (60- and 200-meter dash), Sam Ayers (1000-meter run), Adam Martinson (mile), Ryder King (60-meter hurdles), Shane Racey (pole vault), Ryan Brynjolfson (long jump), Brad Morell (shot put and weight throw), and a 4x400 relay squad that consisted of Jeremy Henderson, Charles Wall-Davis, King, and Jack Daly.

At the Clemson Invite, standout sprinter Tomas Kersulis had the most notable performance earning second in the 400-meter dash in his first action back on the course this season. Domenic Barresi also put forth a strong effort in the 200-meter dash, taking fourth in the finals.

Next Action
The Cornell men's track and field team will return to the course next weekend for a two-day meet at the Wesley A. Brown Invitational hosted by Navy.
