ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell sailing finished out the ACC competition stretch with a 14th-place finish at the Open ACC Finals over the weekend. The finish was an improvement on last year's trip when the Big Red finished 18th overall.
The regatta was raced over an A and a B division. Seniors
Bridget Green and
Amelia Neumann teamed up in the A division. The pair raced to a fifth-place finish after topping the University of Miami in a tie-breaker, finishing just three points shy of third place, and one shy of fourth. The B division saw a group of five Big Reds combining efforts for a 17th-place finish. Junior

Winborne Majette served as sailors while juniors
Sophia Pearce and
Sophia Mulvania along with sophomore
Kate Moran shared turns as crew. The B division combined for 94 points.
Next weekend, Cornell will travel to Old Dominion and St. Mary's to take on the MAISA Women's Fall Dinghy and the War Memorial regattas, respectively, Action is set to begin on Saturday, October 26, and continue into Sunday, October 27.
