ITHACA, N.Y. — Cornell men's polo is heading to Charlottesville, VA from Wednesday, Oct. 23 through Sunday, Oct. 27 to compete in the University of Virginia Fall Invitational.

The tournament holds two brackets, one for men's and one for women's which are competing interchangeably every other day. 

The Big Red men's team begins competition on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m. against Texas A&M.

Cornell is coming off of its season opening victory at home against the Gardnertown Polo Club where they won 22-6. Two Cpornell athletes stood out amongst the rest in the game. Freshman Max Sponer was a standout as he notched eight goals on the day including a two-pointer and Junior Benito Jaramillo Samper followed close behind with seven goals in the match-up. 

The Big Red head into this tournament 1-0 on the season and will look to bring more success back with them after they compete at the Virginia Polo Fall Invitational from October 23-27.
