ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell volleyball team (11-7, 5-4 Ivy) fell to Harvard (10-8, 5-4 Ivy) in three sets Friday night at Newman Arena.
Eliza Konvicka led the Big Red offensively with eight kills, three block assist, two digs and an ace.
Jaida Sione and Kohanihokuao Misipeka added seven and six assists respectively.
Camryn Carlo threw in four blocks and four kills while Sarita Pomar grabbed 10 digs and one assist.
First Set (23-25 Harvard)
After Cornell tied up the match at 4-4 with a Carlo kill, Harvard strung together a 6-1 run to take the lead at 5-10.
A kill from Misipeka towards the middle of the match sparked a 6-2 run to bring the set within three points, 13-16.
Cornell finished out the set on a 5-1 run that included two aces from Doga Ozalp and Mackenzie Parsons but couldn't overcome the deficit to drop the first set 23-25.
Second Set (22-25 Harvard)
Cornell jumped out to a 7-4 lead capped by a kill from Sione.
The Crimson responded with a 7-1 run to take the lead at 15-11.
A kill from Konvicka tied up the set at 18-18, followed by a block from Konvicka/Parsons to take the lead back at 19-18.
Harvard added three unanswered points to take the lead back 19-21.
Cornell put together three more points, including a solo block from Parsons before Harvard finished out with the last four points.
Third Set (18-25 Harvard)
Harvard continued their momentum from the second set to get out to an early 8-1 lead over the Big Red.
Cornell put together three consecutive points with a kill and ace from Konvicka.
Cornell battled back to bring the set to be within one point at 17-18.
The Crimson took seven of eight points to finish the match.

- Doga Ozalp dished out 32 assists, her fifth consecutive game with +30.
- With 10 digs tonight, Sarita Pomar reached her 10th game with double-digit digs this season.
- Ava Bogan appeared in one set and contributed two kills on a .250 hitting percentage.
