ITHACA, N.Y. - The Cornell women's ice hockey team defeated the Dartmouth Big Green 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at Lynah Rink. Cornell improved to 6-3-1, while the Big Green dropped to 0-10-0.

Lindzi Avar (two), and
Mckenna Van Gelder registered Big Red goals.
Katie Chan,
Ashley Messier,
Rory Guilday,
Kaitlin Jockims (two),
Gabbie Rud, and
Avi Adam were credited with assists.
Annelies Bergmann collected 17 saves.
Fleming began the scoring, netting the puck eight minutes into in the first period. Just over two minutes later, Lindzi cashed in for her first tally of the night to extend Cornell's lead to 2-0.
The second period was scoreless between the two squads. Bergmann collected seven saves in the stanza to preserve the Big Red's 2-0 advantage.
Avar took it upon herself again, scoring Cornell's third goal of the night halfway through the third period. Van Gelder put the game on ice one minute later when she notched the game-sealing goal.
Bergmann made 17 saves, including key stops during Dartmouth breakaways and power-plays. She earned her sixth win, and fifth shutout of the season.

The Cornell women's ice hockey will return to action next weekend for a road ECAC Hockey series against the Princeton Tigers and Quinnipiac Bobcats. Game action will be broadcast on ESPN+.
