Cornell Polo Hosts Bill Field Invitational at Oxley

ITHACA, N.Y. — The Cornell men's and women's polo teams are hosting its William S. Field Invitational Tournament from Thursday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 24 at the Oxley Equestrian Center. 

Both the men's and women's teams will compete in this tournament and for the men's team, it will be the last games of the fall season. 

The Big Red men's team comes into this tournament with a 4-3 overall record. It will compete on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 5:00 p.m. against the University of North Texas and on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 10:00 a.m. against the University of Virginia. 

The men are coming off of a 10-18 loss to the University of Connecticut at home. Junior Benito Jaramillo Samper led the team with four goals, freshmen Max Sponer and Dylan Tung each had two and senior Christian Finlay had one.

The women's side comes into the Bill Field Invitational with a 6-2 overall record. It will compete on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 8:00 p.m. against the University of Kentucky and will either play in the consolation game on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 3:00 p.m. or the finals on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 12:00 p.m.

The women are coming off of a 19-3 win over the University of Connecticut at home. Junior Lara Chong led the team with 13 goals on the night, freshman Naomi Marlough notched four, fifth-year Isabelle Braden and senior Ava Ramachandran each had one.

8:00 p.m. - Women's - Cornell University vs University of Kentucky
 

Saturday, Nov. 23:

3:00 p.m. - Women's - Consolation Game

5:00 p.m. - Men's - Cornell University vs University of North Texas
 

Sunday, Nov. 24:

10:00 a.m. - Men's - Cornell University vs University of Virginia

12:00 p.m. - Women's - Final
