HAMDEN, CT —- The Cornell women's basketball team fell to Quinnipiac 56-47 on Thursday night in Hamden.
The Big Red and the Bobcats had a tight contest from the second the athletes touched the court through the final seconds of the game. Cornell and Quinnipiac each had opportunities and challenges throughout the game due to having solid defenses and persevering offenses on the court. The first quarter ended in a 16-16 tie. At the end of the second, Quinnipiac was up by two. The third quarter ended with Quinnipiac extending its lead to five and the game ultimately concluded with Quinnipiac taking off with a 56-47 victory.
Summer Parker-Hall led the Big Red in scoring with 13 points, rebounds with nine and blocks with one. Clarke Jackson led the team in assists with two. Azareya Kilgoe, Kelsey Langston, Parker-Hall and Vivienne Knee each had one steal in the game.
The Big Red shot 44.9 percent from the field, ten percent from three and 40 percent from the free throw line.

Out of a Cornell timeout, the Big Red went on a six-point run to tie the game at 12.

Gal Raviv made a layup to put the Bobcats up by two.

Kaus hit a layup for Cornell to tie it at 14.

Ellla O'Donnell hit a layup off of a rebound to make it 16-14 in favor of Quinnipiac.

Paige Engels hit a layup to tie it at 16 at the end of the first.
SECOND QUARTER

Second quarter scoring with a layup from Raviv to put Quinnipiac up 18-16.

Parker-Hall answered with a jumper to tie the game at 18.

Quinnipiac went on a five-point run to put the Bobcats up 23-18.

THIRD QUARTER

Third quarter scoring began with a Foley jumper off of a rebound for Quinnipiac to extend its lead to four.
