ALL ABOUT NC STATE
The Wolfpack is currently ranked No. 6 in the NWCA after a 5-0 dual start, with a notable 23-14 ranked win over No. 17 Rutgers on the road.
The Wolfpack returned two All-Americans, Kai Orine (133) and Ed Scott (157) and four 2024 NCAA qualifiers. The 2025 lineup consists of eight ranked wrestlers, four in the top ten of their weight class with two ACC Wrestlers of the Week, Vince Robinson and Issaac Trumble.
Matty Singleton and Isaac Trumble return after a season of redshirting and world competition. Trumble became the U23 97kg World Champions and Singleton took the bronze at the U20 Worlds in the 79 kg.
Chris Foca and Julian Ramirez will make their much-anticipated return in the Big Red lineup. No. 14 Foca will face No.13 Dylan Fishback, a rematch from last year's dual as both wrestlers get back in the swing of things.
All-American Meyer Shapiro will wrestle for the first time since Cornell opened its season at the Journeymen Classic in November. Ruiz is looking at a rematch against Singleton in the 174lb weight-class, Ruiz defeated Singleton 6-1 at the Cliff Keen Invitational only a week ago. Ashton Davis will face his first ranked opponent No. 4 Isaac Trumble in the 285lb weight class.
