STREAKS, STORYLINES & SIDEBARS 

  •  Cornell women's basketball is 3-7 on the season after dropping a back and forth matchup to St. Bonaventure 56-54 on Thursday night.
  • Tipoff against the Mountain Hawks is on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 1:00 p.m. in Newman Arena. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
  • Cornell is currently 2-1 at home this season. Its last home game was against Mercyhurst and ended in an overtime 64-63 victory for the Big Red. 
  • The Big Red welcomed a new Rebecca Quinn Morgan ‘60 Head Coach of Women’s Basketball this season in Emily Garner. Garner came from Trinity College where she served as the head coach since 2016. Garner picked up her first win at the helm of the program against Army on Monday, Nov. 4.
  • Cornell was selected seventh in the Ivy League preseason media poll. The Big Red is currently in seventh as of Dec. 6, 2024.
  • Cornell finished 7-19 in the 2023-24 season, ending at seventh in the Ancient Eight. 
  • Emily Pape leads the team in points per game with 13.8, steals per game with 1.4 and rebounds per game with 7.9. Summer Parker-Hall leads the team in total blocks with six. Azareya Kilgoe leads in assists per game with 2.8.

• Four major conference award winners in the conference, including three different Defensive Players of the Year, as well as a two-time All-American.
