PRINCETON, N.J. - The Cornell men's track and field team earned four event victories on Saturday Mar. 30 at the Sam Howell Invite, hosted by Princeton University.
Vicentejordan Vanderlipe (pole vault),
Ryder King (110-meter hurdles) and Brad Morel (shot put) claimed first-place in their respective events along with the 4x400 relay group of
Domenic Barresi,
Michael Mazero,
Fabien De Silva, and
Joshua Gittens.
Morell tossed a 17.79-meter shot put that placed him in the top spot. Vanderlipe vaulted 5.10 meters to top all athletes in the pole vault. Baressi, Mazero, De Silva, and Gittens ran the 4x400 in a time of 3:15.25 to take the crown. King recorded a 14.16-second time to win the 110-meter hurdles.
Shane Racey was a runner-up in the pole vault with his 5-meter mark.
Derek Amicon (1500-meter run - 3:49.94),
Jake Gelfand (5000-meter run - 14:42.29),
Desmond Whitley (triple jump - 14.34 meters), and Morell (hammer - 65.88 meters) earned third-place results at the Sam Howell invite.

The Cornell men's track and field team will gear up for competition at the Colonial Relays hosted by William and Mary. The meet is slated for next weekend and will begin on Thurs. April 4 and conclude on Sat. April 6.
