PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Cornell women's track and field team collected four event wins at the Penn Invitational on Saturday at Franklin Field.
Reyne Rodrigues completed the 400-meter hurdles in less than a minute for the first time in her career to aid the Big Red in a strong day. Freshman pole-vaulter
Avery Hilliard put on a show, taking the top spot in her event. Noelle Elinkinton and Avery Hasting took charge in the throws, earning first-place in the shot put and hammer throw, respectively.
Rodrigues ran her personal-best 59.67 second 400-meter hurdles to claim the crown and move her to seventh all-time in the Big Red records. Hilliard vaulted 3.97 meters to give herself a first-place finish. Elkinton tossed a 13.79-meter shot put to take the top spot. Hastings registered a 51.68-meter hammer throw which set a new Cornell freshman record, and lead her to the top of the standings.
Imani Reid sprinted her way to an 11.98-second 100-meter dash time to earn runner-up status. Reid also competed in the 200-meter dash (24.13 seconds), taking third.
Aniyah Walters (100-meter hurdles - 14.42 seconds) and
Lauren Jones (100-meter dash -12.11 seconds) were also third-place finishers.

The Cornell women's track and field team will compete in the Bison Outdoor Classic next weekend, which is set to be hosted by Bucknell University on Friday and Saturday.
